Personal Outlook
:

Despite the huge proliferation of digital cameras, I still feel it's what you see and how you see it that matters, rather than how fancy the camera or software. Much of what we see today is so photoshopped and contrived it has become fake. I take great pride in photographing real things and real people in real situations and though this is far more challenging when behind the camera, what you get is a far more credible and realistic view of your company, people and product than the 'stock library' look that seems to saturate the market at present.

My passion for photography has remained in creating images that make my clients look good. Most recently shooting high-end warehouse automation for SDI Group in Europe and landscape imagery for Hildon Water in Hampshire. Diversity is what makes it exciting for me, along with exploring those new, interesting and unusual viewpoints that create maximum visual impact.

Personally, my love of wide open spaces has lead me on many interesting photographic adventures, including my recently completed Africa-overland motorcycle journey, The Snakebox Odyssey, which allowed me to combine portraiture, landscape and adventure travel - it doesn't really get much better. Profit from the exhibition has been donated to a school in rural Ghana, allowing them to complete the construction of the school buildings, see the link below for the images.

The best part about this job is not knowing what is over the horizon and I look forward to each new assignment with the same enthusiasm as the very first - nearly thirty years ago.
